A gourmet garlic originally from Southern Italy. This special garlic has a mild to moderate garlic flavor with very little bitterness. Classified as a red Creole type garlic, it stores well with the flavor intensifying as it ages. Said to have some of the highest Allistatin (antibiotic) concentrates found in the allium family. As grown in Northern Wisconsin, it produces moderate sized heads with uniform fat cloves. It grows larger when grown in the South or along the gulf coast. For your next Bruschetta, Spaghetti aglio e olio, or other Italian dish go with this little red gem. Limited quantities for 2017 – ½ lb. max per order.
